The idea of founding a Netherlands-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce came forth out of the already existing and successful Dutch Business Club. For years the Dutch Business Club served the Dutch Business Community by organizing business drinks and special events so that Dutch business people could meet on an informal basis where ideas and thought could be exchanged.

In 2002, it was decided that the Dutch Business Club should be formalized. On September the 25th 2002, a founding meeting was held to lay the foundation for the Netherlands-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce.
